The new NJ HIMSS Security, Privacy and Compliance Taskforce kicks off its first event with a Webinar. Available by Web or telephone, the Webinar will answer your questions on how hospitals and healthcare systems can foster greater inter-departmental collaboration to achieve compliance with HIPAA, HITECH and other regulatory requirements.
Security, Privacy and Compliance issues have often been the domain of separate groups with their own focus. Going forward Information Technology, Compliance, Audit, Legal and HIM departments need to work together in order to achieve Meaningful Use, ensure secure information exchange, establish effective incident response procedures and develop a proactive compliance posture.
This is a follow up to the series of regional Workshops on "HITECH Security Breach Enforcement Begins February 22, 2010: Is Your Hospital Ready?"
Security and Privacy leaders from Saint Barnabas Health Care Systems and BluePrint Healthcare IT will answer questions on collaboration using their own experiences.
